On July 27, 2010, Mr. Yang Ping, the founder and managing director of Tato, had a meeting with Mr. Francois Erecau, the CEO of Ashtech, and Mr. Zheng Yong, the manager of Ashtech’s Beijing branch. They discussed about the further cooperations and developing strategies.

Ashtech originated from Magellan company in America, Beijing Tato Digital Co.,Ltd has been Ashtech’s agency and its strategic cooperation partner for many years.

In the meeting, Mr. Yang Ping introduced Tato’s development plan and goal in the second half of 2010. He also analyzed the task of Tato’s every department. Mr. Francois expressed his congratulation to Tato’s accomplishment and listed Tato as one of the best agencies in the world. He also said Ashtech would pay much attention to China’s market, supply best service to China, develop Chinese market and build long-term cooperation relationship with Tato. Both party reached an agreement on the concept of establishing technology support center in Tato’s head office.

Mr. Francois Erecau introduced the new released product—Mobile Mapper 100, which showed Ashtech’s ambition to expand  GPS market.

MoileMapper 100 was the high-end GIS product released in July 2012. The high accuracy mobile mapping and data acquisition technology make the equipment helpful in extreme environment. The open operating system make MobileMapper 100 more open and flexible than other GIS products.
